ARRRGGHHHH !!!!! vandals SHOOT THEM !!!

Sunday afternoon my son (2 and half year old) pulls my car cover off to reveal a keyed scratched right down the passenger side of my car.
After getting over the sickening feeling I notice my door lock hanging funny. When I open my door, my entire interior has been knifed.
My perfect paint job and interior gone.
The car has been off the road for two years, so no insurance is held on the car.
Why would anyone do this to someone else price of joy?
The neighbour across the street says cars are randomly getting hit but mine is the worse case of pathetic jealousy.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It could cost you alot of money to get her fixed I am afraid. Start looking now for a decent used interior and when you get her on the road again worry about the body work. More and more people suck these days.

It's their parents fault for not raising them proper. Same goes for those jerks that bully other kids, the world is falling apart. Soooosad, I had a price of $500 to recover my front seats, I may do that, just a thought if you can't find a good used set of seats, I looked and can't find any around here.

=( =( Worst feeling. I'm sorry.

What color interior do you have? I have a dark brown leather arm rest/console lid from an '83 that I would gladly donate for free, if you need it. Really nice leather.

Many thanks for everyones kind wishes and encouragement to not let the bast%&ds grind you dow. (U2 quote)
To Brozoar, a big thank you for your ultra kind donation of your interior but I am sorry that I cannot accept a such generous offer. I will patch up on what I can and look locally and slowly get it back together. An aftermarket alarm is goinfg in on the weekend.
As for the paint I will thank about it in a yeas time when my daughter is one and I will have more time. I need to paint her bedroom.
I phoned the Police to report it but they did not care at all. "Why are you so upset about , just claim it on insurance". As stated before, the car is not insured but its a principal thing. The thought of someone to come down your driveway, lift the car cover, slash your paint job and interior and then put the car cover back is infuriating.
Thanks again everyone for your support.

What's just as sad is that these punks can apparently go around defacing property without any opposition from the Police? Glad I don't live in OZ, but I can't say things are much better here in the States.

Sorry about your loss. Post some pics so people can give you better tips for getting her back up to snuff asap.

I would be happy to donate a shifter cover if they knifed that too.

Post some pics. I bet we can get your car back together in no time.

Really sorry to hear tbat.

Just a month ago some punks went on a graffitti rampage here, some in my neighborhood. They tagged the entire side pf my wife's minivan with red paint. I called the police, filed a report, and cleaned it off myself.

Good news is they were caught that night, and charged with thousands in property damage. They tagged houses, vehicles, all kinds of crap.

Wow, was I mad...got it cleaned off with carb cleaner, microfiber towels, wd40, and a wax job. Lucky the paint was still gummy.

Sorry to hear your bad news ditch68. Thats crap too.
It's good that they caught the guys but look at the time and effort that it cost you. What jail time idd they get? What reimbursement did they have to pay? It's totally crap !!!
We had a 19 year old here in Adelaide convicted for burning down a primary school. He even went on TV to condemn the people who would do such a act.
He cofessed on facebook of the crime and the judge gave him a good behavior bond. The judge says he has suffered enough with a loss of friends.
C'mon 100K worth of damage, hundreds of school children work destroyed.
Sorry for the rant, this is a Porsche forum. People who steal/damage Porsches deserve double time!!!

Some thing you may want to look into is your home owners insurance. I know this sounds silly but I also know that some times these plans can involve coverage for things on the property. since the car was presumably on your property at the time it may be covered by your home insurance. Do you have pictures of the interior of the car before the damage? Those would be a huge help in making the case. You would have to speak to your agent but I would not give up hope yet. If you are in the PA area I am not half bad with upholstery and would be glad to help you get it back up and running.

Regards
Dave
