well i was out waxin the cruzer,getting it ready for sunburn, now that summers here....pop the hood,check the vitals,,and thought it wood be nice to have my windshield washers working this summer.....so i check this and that and i start to trace wires......i follow the tubeing to the squirt thingy on the hood and i find that there are a black and brown wires going directly into it....?????
now what could this be???? some german high tech sensor that tells you that no water is comming out,,if so, the idiot light isn't working either....maybe its a miniture defrost device???? i don't have a clue.... except that maybe?? its the cause of why my washer don't work??? anybody? cruzin in ventura |

Those wires are the heating elements for the "pissers" They keep them from freezing in cold weather. I believe they are tied to the rear window defogger.
If your washers aren't working at all, you have three possible causes: 1. Steering column switch is bad 2. Washer pump is dead 3. Check Valves (those plastic thingies that the hoses attach to) are shot. 4. Clogged pissers. Or, if you are lucky like me: 4. All of the above Cheers AFJuvat |

My pissers didn't work when I first got the car. It turned out to be a kinked hose, so check for that too.
However, that might not be the only problem.. mine was kinked but it's still having trouble firing both squirters. The important one is shooting blanks.
