Turbo Frame Rails? Pic
Is there any noticeable difference between the frame rails in the engine bay between the turbo and the non-turbo?
I was recently looking at a turbo that had curvature on the vertical slab of the frame rail near the front (i.e. under the air filter and by the PS reservoir). Fairly slight, and as far as I could tell, uniform between the two. However, my 944 NA has no such curvature. Absolutely vertical. Wondering if someone with a turbo could take shots of their frame rails, looking down into the engine bay?

The '88 951S and '89 951 had gussets on the frame rails in those spots.

Here. These are from an 86 Turbo.
![]() ![]() I don't have any good shots from an NA. Just looking down, it appears about the same.
