Best thing to do it just absolutely scrub it down, and then leave it all opened up (windows down, sunroof out) and hope for the best. I have to do it a lot with my corvette. Good luck, smells are never easy to remove.

Often people have to replace the carpet to get the smell out, unfortunately. Otherwise, as 'bennkishh' said, shampoo that carpet, let it air out for awhile and hope for the best!

Fill a spray bottle with half distilled water and half vodka. Doesn't have to be expensive vodka, either. Spray away. Drink the rest of the vodka and by the time you're sober the problem will be largely minimized.
Seriously. This is how big costume houses in the film industry deal with hundreds of costumes being sweated into by hundreds of extras. Vodka kills mold. They call it French cleaning.

Excellent idea. That'll work very well.

Ozone treatment. Even gets 10 years worth of closed window cigar smoke out of headliners. Takes a few hours, maybe you'll have to leave it overnight.

Fabreeze. When I was restoring my 1970 Olds 442, an f'ing cat peed on the rear seat. I thought for sure it was toast. I scrubbed it, still there. On the suggection of a friend, I bought a spray bottle of Fabreeze odor remover. Worked perfectly and that is a nasty smell to get rid of.

A Finnish visitor brought me a bottle of Jellona a few years ago.
Spray that around and the smell of mould will be replaced by something more manly ![]()

Don't use fabreeze, it has sugars, and sugars mold. One step forward, two back? Try a few large bowls filled with vinegar, and just let them sit in the car for a few days. Did you find the source of the mold, or are you just calling the smell "mold like"?

Well I think the interior carpet is the suspect.. it has not any visual mould signs but it smells like old house what has mold. EDIT: I have tried to wash the carpet too but nothing has changed..

I was going through this with my "new to me"seats. I don't think you can really get the smell out of seat foam and stuff, it seems impossible to really get in there. Carpet should be easier. I would strip it out and and wash it down with a hose, brush and cleaner of choice. and air out for several days. Then take it from there. I used baking soda and vinegar in a spray bottle. The seat covers came out OK, the seat foams are still a bit whiffy. The idea is to kill the source of the smell, not mask it with febreze type stuff. BTDT.
Also after you strip out the carpet you can check the under carpet pads/sound deadening for stink too. My early car has some thick padding down by the rear quarters.

Is this your first Porsche? ALL Porsche's have a weird smell, try and find other one and smell inside. I'm pretty sure I can ID a Porsche, or early VW just by the smell. Good luck, and remember its a 30+ year old car, God only knows what's in it.

I second the ozone generator idea. A friend of mine in the insurance business uses one all the time. That's how they deodorize basements, cars etc.
