Anyone know if the lower balance shaft front cover is the same on early and late 944?
 I'm working on an '87 and one of the mounting ears for the power steering pump is broken. There's an early '85 in a junk yard close to me that I can pull one off of, but I don't want to go through the trouble of laying on the cold gravel if it's different. Anyone know? |

They are different, the ears for the PS pump are a different shape for early. Not sure why, as the pump is the same early or late.
If you want to be safe, I have that part off a 1987 951 just laying around you could have cheap. |
