Turn signals fixed
I had two issues with my turn signals. The first was that they had not been canceling out on left turns. The second, was that recently they started "fluttering" and not flashing consistently at all. I pulled the switch assembly off (after removing the wheel etc) and peeked inside through one of the openings. I could see that the switch makes it's contacts for the turn signals through spring loaded copper colored bars. To improve the contact, I reached inside with one of my small hook tools (used for pulling small dashboard parts like knobs/etc) and bent the copper bar towards the contact. Plugged it in and it was making good contact now. Sprayed a bit of electrical contact cleaner and then some electrical contact lubricant onto both bars (one bar is left turn, one is right). There, nice and smooth. Now for the cancel... I simply heated the tab with a heat gun and bent it out slightly. That's it! Turn signals cancel as they should and nice and smooth! I tried to take pictures but only had my cell phone with me at the time and it wouldn't focus on the small parts I was fixing inside the housing. Maybe I can post a video of it or something if people really need something like that.
