Move it around a bit
You need to gently move it back and forth and allow it to come down a bit. It is the only way to get enough movement off the shaft. My 924 was very reluctant to shed its transmission. Slightly lowering it and moving it around a bit was the only way to get it off. Be carful not to shake the car off the jack stands.... always have more stands as back ups if you are under the car. More is better.....
