Have 88 944 NA in GA (no smog testing) w original exhaust & thinking original cat may be clogged. Thinking of removing and replacing w straight pipe? Pros and cons? Thanx

I just gutted the old cat with a broom handle and shot out all the platinum bits by revving on the lift now that's a free cat delete right there

exhaust note be raspier. exhaust fumes will smell more....and pollute the air more.
if it's not broken, don't mess with it. why make work for yourself. |

I used a metal fence post on mine and that works great. I love the deeper note.
As a side note, it still passed the smog test. |

Mine's gone too. I just figure it's one less thing to go wrong in the future. What are these "smog test" you speak off?
