Will 19 inch wheels fit on a 83 944

I've been running with 17 Carrera C2 Turbo Cup Wheels on my 83 944 for about 5 years with no problems. A buddy of mine just gave me his 19 inch wheels and tires off his 2001 996. I have a gut feeling they won't fit, but he says they will fit. I think they'll fit a later model but not a early model. Have anyone seen a early model with 19's? I hate giving these wheels back, but if they won't fit then no use for them..

Don't think they'll fit... 996 would be a different offset and 19" is ridiculous on a 944 TBH

Can you put 19s on a 83 944? - Yes
Should you? - IMHO, No.

With that out of the way, to say if this set of wheels could fit your car, we would need to know width and offset info (and tire sizes). Most likely you could get them to fit with a set of spacers all around.

theyll fit with spacers, but then you might get into problems with front suspension bushings because the wheels are so heavy and the tires so small...

I would be more concerned about the hubs & spindles They are weaker on the early cars anyway and Porsche doesn't even recommend 17in wheels for pre 87's.
