Some updates
Have been working on other Euro cars in the fleet so the 44 has been on the back burner.
Our BMW seems to take up a lot of time and money and the restoration of my son's 87 Golf GTI is coming along. The 44 has just benefited from a new sunroof seal and a general tidy up of the sunroof with a recolour from brown to black of the interior lining. It never fails to amaze me how I can take off the car cover and fit a charged battery and it starts first time. Next on the list is to complete rear seat delete and get the crap brown dash sorted. Was on the 911 build thread section and noticed a guy had used vynil to cover his dash that had no fabric lining on the back,he used a 2 pack high temp contact glue and fitted it around all the curves in the 911 dash,I think that would be a great solution for the early 944 one, anyone seen the material?

I used Vinyl WITH fabric backing. Turned out ok. Would have turned out better had I been more patient. So ... I would say use regular fabric-backed marine grade vinyl. Mine got a bit messed due to operator error, so to speak.
