My car is boomin' and I don't have subs!
My 944 has this really loud booming resonance in the hatch area at certain lower RPMs, and also on the highway. At higher speeds it seems to phase in and out. I get the feeling like I'm not the only one who's had this problem - any suggestions how to quiet it down? I'm thinking about putting some Dynamat down back there.

Can you be a little more specific?
Is it just road noise, or does it sound like something specific? AFJuvat

Basically, anything that vibrates the car at low frequencies will cause the resonance. At low speeds or stopped the engine will do it at 2000-3000rpm or so - at high speeds it seems to be road noise that does it. It's definitely coming from the rear of the car.
