OT: A little turned off

I have heard some people talking about Rennlist so I checked it out and I was not impressed.
I don't know if Pelican is accociated with this other board but, the guys on there are not as cool as the bunch on here.
I posted a link to pictures of my car, and the response i got back was unsupportive to say the least.

Sorry for this rant, had to vent
I won't blame the mod's if they delete this.

it seems that many people over there have something to prove. over here I think the atmosphere is much more laid back. i enjoy it more here too.

Another vote for Pelican here.....

And two votes because we have a AFJuvat.

On that note, how come AFJuvat isn't over at Rennlist??? Or is he???

AFJuvat should be a Pelican Parts only exclusive!! We shouldn't wear out a good thing!!!

Hey Poorscheboy....

I like the way you told the Rennlisters that they "ROCK" - to bad they don't know you were being sarcastic!!!

Ya- nice support from them, eh??? It's obvious you know what your doing and will make a great car out of that one - and $3000 is a good price around here - I saw an 83' the other day with 220,000 Klms and the nut wanted $13,000. I don't think they know that you only paid $1500 American.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Yes, I do have an account over there - I think I logged about 10 times and posted once or twice.

Why don't I go there:

1. I just don't like their message boards.. (not a rational explanation I know, but I just don't like them....)

2. I don't like the attitudes of some of the people over there - these forums are supposed to be for exchanging information to other users, not a condecending "my car is better than yours" pissing contest. There are a few over there that live up to the "What is the difference between a porcupine and a Porsche?" image.

3. While the message board is free, I dislike being hounded to join and pay for a membership.

So I stay here and order parts from pelican a couple of times a year.
