With a "Bad #4 cylinder", I'd bet #'s 2 thru 8 prolly have issues too...
Smells like real trouble.. Wouldn't the V8 Engine weight destroy the 944's optimal 51/49 weight distribution as well? Like that 302 V8 Miata years ago..

![]() +1 on fitting in anything. A better question would be what it doesn't fit in; i.e. a Radio Flyer Wagon, telephone, shoe, lightbulb, toaster, and a few other items. Take care, |

I also like how the cutaway illustration is of a turbo, and the engine is an N/A 4.5L.

Was this the same V8 that VW stuck in their Toureg's?

Forget the 944, maybe I will drop it in my explorer instead. Then I can pull a bigger boat.

No, the Toureg used the 4.2L Audi V8. No idea if the two engines are related though.

I translated the craiglist post using google translator, here is what it translated.
From Spanglish to English: English = "Don't buy, engine is full of problems." At least it's a funny ad.

Me too, I live where spanish/broken english/broken spanish is the norm, and I can understand about 90% of each of the 3 languages. haha.
I figured out what a Cayenne engine will fit into, a Cayenne. haha Someone had to. All joking aside. I would think a Cayenne engine would be a good V8 to install in a 944. I don't know how much work would be involved, or how easy things would mate up, but it sounds like fun to me. I wish I had the money and time to try something like that. I would give it a try if I could, but I would use a good working engine at least.
