odometer problems

Does anyone have any idea why my odometer would stop working? I'm completely clueless on this one..... Thanks in advance

They often stop when the little plastic gear brakes.

Here's the clark's guide to fixing. But i suspect there's other articles with more info around.

No, she's got more problems than i want to mess with so ive decided to gut it, slap an LS1 in her with all the goodies and take her to the track!

Well that still won't fix the odometer problem. The gear for it has likely just slipped back on it's shaft.

3 944's, 2 Boxsters and one Caman S, and now one 951 turbo. Really miss the Cayman.

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
