Front strut shock absorber problem
Did an oil change today and when I put the car back down on the ground the drivers side (UK) shock seems to have frozen.
When I push on that side of the car it hardly moves compared to the other side. I can't get new shocks for a couple of weeks and need to drive the car in to get the belts done. It feels pretty awful. Is there anything to try to free it up? (I can only assume having it jacked up and fully extended dragged durt in or something similar??)

Nope. It'll move reluctantly and sound like a loose wheel or the suspension is coming apart but it'll be ok for a short stint. I had the identical issue. I drove mine a few times locally until I found out what the problem was.

I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved. Last edited by mytrplseven; 07-21-2013 at 10:12 AM.. |
