Can a temp control unit be fixed?
I have an intermittent full heat situation. Clips are good. All vacuum lines in place. Clark's says if problem is intermittent, it's likely the control unit.
Before I buy a new used one, is there a fix that anyone has accomplished ? '86 Turbo

the insides of the controller is all circuit boards. I'd recommend checkiing ebay for a replacment. I've seen several but expect to pay some bucks for a complete, workable one. You also need to make sure it's compatible. It is possible to get one that has switches that don't work and yet the insides are ok. If you have high level electrical soldering skills, it's possible to cannibalize and make a complete unit by buying a "parts" unit.
