Angry i need some help

I have a 86 944 turbo with no acceration at all. i can hear the turbo spinning but still nothing, i mean this car is really running like a dog. It also maxes out at 90mph, i really need help. Its really embarrassing to have this beautiful car and getting blown off the line by a Yugo. Thanks, Kyle

Let's start here:

Are you getting any boost? What does boost gauge say?

need some help reply

The boost guage says that i am on boost as soon as i step on the gas pedal. It feels like there is a little(very little at around 4,000 rpms but nothing really great.) I think the guage is not reaaly working.

Garage
1. Check for proper wastegate operation

2. Check TPS for correct throttle signal

3. Possible blocked up CAT?

4. Broken line from Manifold to KLR

Some things to check.

How far does the gauge go up as soon as you hit the gas? Mine goes to I think 1 bar past one (maybe a little less) but when the turbo spools up I peg the bar.

So the boost gauge reads over 1.0? Anything under 1.0 is no boost. It ought to go to about 1.8 with a stock engine.

Check the round valve near the coolant reservoir. There is a vacuum line at its top. Put another piece of hose on it and see if you can draw air through it. If you can, it is shot. It's a diaphram valve and should allow no flow through its nipple at center of top.

Check the vacuum line that goes from above nipple to fuel damper which is near front of fuel rail. There is a 'y' or a 'tee' there made of rubber. If it is cracked, your boost won't work properly. Ditto for the plastic line that runs to it from the valve near coolant reservoir.

the boost guage will not go past 1.2. Even without the turbo boost is the engine that sluggest or do they work together?

Engine is sluggish without boost. Check the valve I mentioned above.
