The 968 is 185-190whp stock, that is 3.0L 16v with variocam and a MAF. It's pretty hard to get that motor to 225whp but a 968 motor would be a more realistic starting point than a 2.5NA.
There would be little point in rebuilding the NA transmission as it would not handle the increased power. A 968 swap would probably be a bargain at about $5K. It's generally cheaper and easier to sell the NA and buy a different car that is closer to the power you need.

Indeed, but those are the dyno numbers I have seen for a stock 968. I have not looked hard and most of the numbers I have seen are for modded motors.
