Rogue Tuning - New Product: A new DME!

I am extremely excited and happy to finally unveil a 2+ year project...

As our cars age, the original DMEs are starting to die. At the time, they were amazing computers, and have still proven to be very capable. However, circuit design, manufacturing, and components of the time was very limited. After 25+ years, there are quite a few common issues with the DME, such as cracked solder joints, dying ignition and injection drivers, burnt & lifted traces, ect.

The only option has been to send the to a 'rebuilder', or try to buy a NOS unit - until now:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1381552473.jpg

This computer is designed to replace the factory DME. It is 100% back-wards compatible in the 944 & 951!
Take your current DME chip, 24pin or 28pin, set the internal switches (to select 951, # of chip pins, ect), plug in the DME and drive away!

Joshua,

I have followed your website and technical support for years.

This project is just remarkable.

My questions were answered on RL.

Are there any plans in the works for a new KLR to accompany this for the 951 crowd?

jhowell371 10-12-2013 05:47 PM

Anything for the S2?

Congrats, Great accomplishment.

Later.

Joshua:

What kind of gains have you measured with testing the MAF on S2 platform? Saw your initial video on you tube & it looks good.

PM me when you get a chance. Later...

Started looking at the KLR... Nothing exactly planned yet, but it is a possibility.

I'm in the middle of testing the 944S 16v now... As soon as I have more info that I'm ready to release I will make a 16valve MAF thread, and put it up on the website.

Price????? Availability????

Rogue_Ant 03-01-2014 12:50 PM

When I started this thread, I was hoping to have everything ready by the turn of the year...
But we weren't 100% satisfied, so the new ECU went through some more changes. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I am not about to put the new ECU up for order until it is absolutely ready.

That said, I believe the new ECU is done.

I've also put up a page, dedicated to the new ECU:

Rogue Tuning ECU

I am working on buttoning up things at the moment, but expect a pre-order page to be up soon. When it does go up, I will make the announcement.

AaronM 03-02-2014 07:01 PM

Any ballpark figures on pricing?

Rupert944 05-03-2014 08:40 PM

I'm pretty interested in a DME + MAF set, if the price is right. Any idea on when and how much?
