Adding cruise
I read the recent post about cruise control with interest, which has made me wonder if cruise could be fitted to an early s2, does anyone on the board have such info, I would be pleased to read any replies about the feasability of this job.

Short answer, yes it can be done, but not very smoothly (using aftermarket) or cheaply (if using factory parts)
You should, in theory, be wired for it already, to go with factory setup, you would need to buy the brain, relay, and steering column switches. - altogether around $600 or so in parts. AFJuvat |
how bad 'ya want it? I have the whole kit and kaboodle for $300. This is sensors, steering column stalk, brain, servo......everything necessary.

Thanks very much for replies and offer, although not sure how far to take this thought of fitting cruise yet, I am pleased to have some info to hand. I will check out any wiring provision.

I'm looking for the delux model.
The one where you can kick the seat back and get some ZZZ's and it regulates speed, watches for cops, honks at the babe's and flashes at other 944's. Oh yes, and will NOT let you drive if your timing belt is due to be replaced. |
SoCal.......I have that one for sale too. However it is going for $30,000. I only have one left, so act quickly =)
