Adding cruise

I read the recent post about cruise control with interest, which has made me wonder if cruise could be fitted to an early s2, does anyone on the board have such info, I would be pleased to read any replies about the feasability of this job.

Short answer, yes it can be done, but not very smoothly (using aftermarket) or cheaply (if using factory parts)

You should, in theory, be wired for it already, to go with factory setup, you would need to buy the brain, relay, and steering column switches. - altogether around $600 or so in parts.

Thanks very much for replies and offer, although not sure how far to take this thought of fitting cruise yet, I am pleased to have some info to hand. I will check out any wiring provision.

I'm looking for the delux model.

The one where you can kick the seat back and get some ZZZ's and it regulates speed, watches for cops, honks at the babe's and flashes at other 944's.

Oh yes, and will NOT let you drive if your timing belt is due to be replaced.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?
