Question How do I find what doesn't work on my sunroof?

What testing can I do to see what is faulty on my sunroof? (86 944 na) Can I hook the leads from the motor to a 12v power source and see if it is good? Do I just start buying relays? Like I said in a previous post, with the key on the first position, the sunroof lifts do not move. Also with the key on and pushing the sunroof switch, there is no noise, hum, anything at all. Dead quiet.

I haven't searched for older threads on sunroof's yet, and will do that soon. So if it something that has been asked before, sorry.

Thanks for any help!

There is a procedure in the factory manuals for testing and adjusting. You need the PDF CDR that is floating around.

Thanks a lot SoCal! Is that something I can buy a copy of? I would love to have that!

I could burn a CD for you that has the parts catolgue and factory manuals on it, but you'd have to spend the $ for shipping and the CD. You probably could find these for free if you did a search here or at rennlist.com.
Either way, I'd galdly burn the CD for you.
