wilk charged an arm and a leg for a simple chip install.. chances are finding a good used unit would be much more cost effective.
plenty of people are parting out cars... you're bound to find one.. make sure it's the same part number, or an upgraded one (found by looking up the part number here on pelican).

Josh (Rogue_Ant) will be offering completely NEW DMEs sometime soon and they should be at a reasonable price and perform well, if his current product line is any predictor.

Old thread, but the link still works fine. What info do you need, Byron?

The link worked, but no price info, and contact link didn't work. Our one of our B&B cars needs a new brain.

Call Steve of Ian at 944online. They provide fast DME/KLR service. Their number in a Pompano Florida is (954) 968-3766 or toll free 866-944-7883.

Wow can't believe I've had my car since 06. Anyways I wonder if you're DME just has a bad solder connection. I got a bad late DME I might pry open to see if heating up some solder joints may help revive the DME if it's due to a cold solder.
