Need help with Cooling Sys. Problem
I was tightening the cooling system bleed screw and the metal elbow that connects the upper radiator hose to the cyl. head (pic) broke so now the water leaks out. What part # is that and where can I get it?

You can check here on Pelican for some of them (gaskets etc) but most will have to either come from a parts car or the dealer.

yer better off to go to a junkyard or Partsheaven.com for hard parts like that. Next time don't tighten it so !$%#$^%& tight, ya Animal!

http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...s/a_frusty.gif hehe I overtightened it because it kept leaking water, I suspect the PO replaced the bleed screw with a longer one or something. BTW, It never stopped leaking... also, that's not my car it's Mike S's over at rennlist, I really like the int. manifold!

There's a gasket that goes there. I lost mine and substituted a fibre gasket of appropriate size and works fine. There should be rubber material on the underside of you bolt, and a washer of resonable thickness.

I'd try either www.944ecology.com or partsheaven.com for those non-standard maintenance items. Also, if you have an auto salvage yard nearby, call them and see if they have any 944's on the lot.
I just checked Pelican's Ads and they have a few 944's being parted out. Try this... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-924-944-968-used-parts-sale-wanted/ |
