Reference/Speed Sensors... failed wiring
 

I'd take them out of the bracket, put some aquarium sealant on them and call it a couple of decades.

You could also try some zip ties, or cable tie wraps. They work great...until you have to remove/replace the sensors. LOL

Hopefully, if you buy the sensors new and cable tie wrap them onto the bracket, you won't be removing or replacing them for a long time.

You can replace the sensors PN# 944-606-115-00-M323. It is not too expensive or difficult. The area around the sensor on the bell housing is tight, but you can get enough fingers in there to do the job. I replaced one and repaired the connection on the second sensor plug using Sugru. I bought new ref sensor to get the male connector (since mine were broken and the PO had super-glued the two connectors together). Also bought a new female connector on ebay and stripped and resoldered all the pins and used the slide on tapered connector rubber piece. All's good again. The kit that John AZ is what I'm talking about.

I'm pretty sure the break in the wires, is on the wire that's part of the sensor. Specifically, on the sensor, not plug side. Got a couple new sensors on order, so hopefully that's all I need to do. Good to know you can buy the plugs. On Lindsey Racing I've also seen the whole harness, all the way back to the DME.
If the wires weren't shielded, this process, would be a heck of a lot easier.
