It's starting to look like itself again
80K mile donor engine, freshly resealed, FOES and rod bearings, off the stand and in place. I love it when everything is so clean. Probably the closest I'll ever get to a new car!

Nice!
Great feeling of acomplishment. I did not look at the previous posts, but the waterpump, has it been changed recently on the donor engine? John

John, it has not, and that's a calculated risk that I made. I prefer to manage the belt service on these cars as "belt plus rollers" alternated with "belt plus water pump". The bearing in the pump felt smooth and tight, so I went with it. If it starts leaking and I have to go back in there, so be it. After dismantling one car to bare shell and the work I've done to this one, a water pump sounds like a walk through the park.
