Intersting Burn Pattern
Here is a picture of the hood off of the 86 I parted out. This is a burn pattern from loosing the fuel line at the rail. I've sanded the burned area getting it ready for painting.

I'll have to take a pic of the parts car we have at the shop - headlight motor caught on fire.
The hood itself looks reasonably intact, how much did it warp? AFJuvat

The dark spot on the top left of center is rust and the most distorted.
This is over the air meter if I remember right. The rubber intake ducting seems to have done more damage than the pools of gas on the engine block. Closer to the hood and probably burned longer. There is some paint lifting on the center piece between the headlights. Haven't removed the paint so don't know if there is rusting. I've got the rust area mostly sanded to metal and sealed. Still would have to bondo it and sand smooth if I really wanted to make it decent. Thinking of just painting a large Porsche crest on the hood and use it while my original is being repainted.
