Problem Installing headers

Hi all,

So I have these Bursch headers with the long tube. http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/smart/more_info.cgi?pn=PEL-BUR-7914&catalog_description=&Bursch%2520Header%252C%2 520%2539%2532%2534S%2520%2528%2531%2539%2538%2537% 252D%2538%2538%2529%252C%2520%2539%2534%2534%2520% 2528%2531%2539%2538%2533%252D%2538%2539%252C%2520n ot%2520for%2520S%252C%2520S%2532%252C%2520or%2520T urbo%2529

They are ready to go in but there is no way I have enough room to put these in. It seems I am going to have to lift the car WAY higher than I am able to.

Anything I am missing? If not, any relatively safe ways to get my car high enough off the ground?

Thanks in advance.

i had a similar 4 to 1 for a while. it indeed had to go up just about as high as my tall jackstands went.

Too bad that doesn't fit my '90 S2!

Think you will need to get the front of the car to a similar height as if removing engine, ie 25 or so inches from bottom of front valance to ground. It ain't too easy to do either-I had to borrow a friends highlift longreach jack and even then had to put a 3"wooden block between the saddle and the cross member.
