Problem Installing headers

Hi all,

So I have these Bursch headers with the long tube. http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/smart/more_info.cgi?pn=PEL-BUR-7914&catalog_description=&Bursch%2520Header%252C%2520%2539%2532%2534S%2520%2 528%2531%2539%2538%2537%252D%2538%2538%2529%252C%2 520%2539%2534%2534%2520%2528%2531%2539%2538%2533%2 52D%2538%2539%252C%2520not%2520for%2520S%252C%2520 S%2532%252C%2520or%2520Turbo%2529

They are ready to go in but there is no way I have enough room to put these in. It seems I am going to have to lift the car WAY higher than I am able to.

Anything I am missing? If not, any relatively safe ways to get my car high enough off the ground?

Thanks in advance.

GHEN

i had a similar 4 to 1 for a while. it indeed had to go up just about as high as my tall jackstands went.

Think you will need to get the front of the car to a similar height as if removing engine, ie 25 or so inches from bottom of front valance to ground. It ain't too easy to do either-I had to borrow a friends highlift longreach jack and even then had to put a 3"wooden block between the saddle and the cross member.
