Yep, that color is what Porsche calls "Light Gray" But it's really more of a tan/beige. I call that color greige. It's a very common color from 85.5-87.

Wow, I don't think I have seen "light gray" script seats. That's awesome and it looks like they are in good shape too. Very cool.

Thanks! Surprisingly, the seats are about the only thing in decent condition on this car! I originally wanted to convert the interior to all black (real) leather but this colorway has really grown on me, especially the full script seats which don't seem that common.

So if anyone has a light grey carpet set for sale, let me know :D

Is the information solely under the carpet or is there anything relevant on the spec sheet that has been next to my tool kit for over 30 years!

Wasn't sure if you had gotten this one or not, but here's mine:

1987 944 Turbo
Listed as "Burgundy" on the original window sticker, color code in the trunk is YZ.

Here's my 87 924S's options decal.

Guards Red Exterior (not my fave) with Linen/Brown Vinyl/Script seats, dark brown dash and door top trims.

I'll ask the question in a separate thred, but if anyone has researched the best interior paint match for the dark brown dash, I'd be grateful for any results.

cheers, John

Making interior color code list is very good idea. I was already searching but couldn't get any good results. Thanks for discussing and sharing this topic.

Does anybody has seen CB as interior code? It is on the sticker of mine P924S from 1986.

Regards Govert

My go to for leather dye and other leather products is Colorplus.com, out of Pennsylvania. Their Surflex product is easy to use (water based), easy to clean up, and they have a color matching service that has worked perfectly every time for me (over 30 years as a satisfied customer.) All you need to do is send a one inch square color swatch (should come from an area that is not faded or dirty.) Very reasonable cost for such a service.

Just don't apply it too thick, several light coats will look much better than one thick coat.

Thanks George, at this, having spent a nutty amount of time on it, removing most of the vinyl and building it uper, shaping and surfacing (60 HRS +), my dash is now in epoxy primer; next I plan on applying SEM Texture Coat, then their Color Coat, custom mixed at a local paint jobber. It won't he stock (no faux-leather grain) and it won't be perfect-perfect (recreating details in filler is tough) but it should be OK. Famous last words. Thanks very much, John

I just realized some about my interior: it’s Linen and Black, not Linen and Very Dark Brown. John

Govert, did you ever find out what this code is? I too have a 924S with the CB interior. Unfortunately, my seats have been badly covered in a non-Porsche cloth and I now want to find the correct colours and get the seats done properly. The only thing i know for certain is that the cream carpet and black door cards/dash are original, is this the same with yours?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1631457370.png

Further to the above a little more digging suggests that the colour options were per the attached and tracked across horizontally, does anyone know if this is correct? I.e. the light-grey carpet means that light-grey seats in one of the described combinations was a prerequisite. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1632413946.jpg

I have an 87 924S in the common Porsche Light Grey or Greige “XP” .. seats are Porsche Script, Drivers isn’t in great order ... I came across these Sports Seats from a 944 of same era & hoping, even though they are a different design, that they’ll look OK once fitted .. color seems correct :http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1643331113.jpg
