Clutch Master Cylinder

Greetings All,
Does anyone know if anyone makes a rebuild kit for the clutch master cylinder. They do not list one here at Pelican.
The new cylinders don't seem to last. This most recent one went after only two years. And the fluid was new and flushed.
I figure I can do just as well rebuilding!

Jon

I've tried looking for a rebuild kit and didn't find one, and there does not appear to be one. They are easy to take apart and would be very easy to rebuild. But no one has a kit for the Master. When I took mine apart there was some numbers stamped on the seals. After looking those numbers up I found more info and someone does sell the seals. They were the same as another car. The bad news is that I forgot all this info. I do still have an old master laying around. I will take it apart and let you know what the seal numbers are a little later.

No sure if the 944 and 924 are the same Masters?

Well, never mind. I can't find my master cylinder, it's missing now. I hope I didn't throw it away.

Check the shop manual. Depends on year and CMC maker. They specify in footnotes at bottom of page.

Example : my '87 with a Girling is not rebuildable.
