New to 944, Please help
Hi,
I am thinking to buy a 1983 944, however I am very new to 944 and I have no 944 red book. Can you help me identify the car? I'd like to know whether the car is original right hand drive car with matching vin and engine number or not. Here are the information of the car that I have from the owner VIN number : WPOZZZ94ZCN402387 Enging number : 41C2315 Any other special points that should inspect would be really appreciated too Thank you very much |

You need to ask when the timing belt and water pump were last changed. Need to look for any oil or antifreeze leaks, Inspect the oil for mixture of oil and antifreeze. Need to know if the clutch was ever done? Not knowing these things about the car can break your piggy bank real fast if there are associated problems.

THank John_AZ and Zedsn for the input. As the VIN Decoder does not mention about the Right or Left hand drive, so any special area that I can verify whether the car is original right hand drive or not? In my country there are many left hand drive converted to right hand drive, I just want to have an original right hand drive 944
Thanks in advance for all of your help |
