alternator question
I had mine tested at the local repair place after i shanged the regulator module. Real easy job. They said it was fine. Stored for the winter and the same problem. Puts out around 6-7 volts disconnected from the battery. Shout be full output 13-14 volts. Thinking it may be the startup field voltage line. Think it's the small one the goes on at startup then is supposed to self power. Is this connected to the starter ignition. Anyone work on this problem. Sort of looks that way on the wiring schematics.

Not related to the starter ignition. Is related to the ignition switch in the run position.
If you get the alternator going fast enough, you don't need the startup field line; the alternator generates its own. Sounds like a bad alternator... have it tested again.
