				944 LS1 swap build thread

			Hello everyone,

I will be using this thread to document my 944 V8 swap build. We will be starting with a rather clean example of a late 944 (1985.5). ![]() The motor has (at the very least) a blown head gasket and the milkiest oil I've ever seen. This car will see an LS-based Chevrolet V8 and a variety of custom fabrication. I specialize in wiring and wiring harnesses, so we will see what we can come up with for that as well. The tear down has begun and a few potential motors have been located. Check back for updates. |

I will be using parts from either Texas Performance Concepts or Renegade for most of the swap, forgot to mention that.

I just completed an LS1 conversion on my 1987 944S. Truly the best decision that I ever made concerning my car. You will love the results! Purchased my parts from Texas Performance Concepts. Even called Eric several times when I ran into issues. Good luck with your build! I look forward to seeing your results.
