Amehl, Can you take a picture of the SS installed in the car. I have another thought, and pictures really help out. I know it's hard to get a picture of it, but it makes a huge difference

Yep. Not sure when I will have time to get under the car, but I will document everything and report what I find.

Sigh... I am ready for public shaming. As for most problems, it was user error. I took off the wheel and the first thing I saw was this:

I adjusted the arm forward, and what do you know, my neutral now looks like this:

But I appreciate everyones help. I feel dumb.

Amehl, if you hadn't asked in the first place, now that might have been just a little dumb.

But you did, and you asked here (we all rock here, don't you know?) so that wasn't so dumb after all, right?

Glad things turned out.

Don't forget to safety wire those two suckers in there so they won't loosen up on you.

Cheers
Chris

I thought only the shift rod retaining bolt had safety wire? The set screw on the linkage doesn't have a hole through it for wire (unless mine wasn't stock). However, it had loctite on it. Definitely don't want that coming loose. The shift rod retaining bolt also needs loctite/safety wire.

It's always good when it's a simple fix. Now if all the 944 problem were as easy to fix as this.

Glad you figured it out.
