how to test the fuel check valve?

if there a way to test the fuel pump check valve? i tempt to say that mine is leaking just slowly enough to bleed pressure off when the car is cold.

When I was doing quarry work, I took off my check valve from my rock oiler and blew air thru it at both ends. If air came thru both ways, bad valve. I think it's just a ball and spring, so if you can, take it apart and stretch the spring and make sure the seat is good.

It isn't difficult - need a couple of wrenches a little patience

use extreme care when the fuel is flowing Wear safety glasses and EARPLUGS.

gasoline in your ear is EXTREMELY painful.

(ask me how I know this - 1 trip to the emergency room, and 3 weeks on ear medication later......)
