8X16 Fuchs up front on early 944?
Hi, I have an early 944 and it's not lower. It currently has 7X16 ET23.3 Fuchs on front and 9X16 ET15 Fuchs with 21mm spacer on the rear.
I read somewhere that 8X16 Fuchs can be used up front. I believe there is 2 versions of 8X16 Fuchs; ET10.6 and ET23.3, which one to use up front for an early car? What is the part number? With or without spacer? And what is the best tire size? I just want my front wheels to go out a bit and match the rear without rubbing. Thank you! Last edited by Aey; 01-22-2015 at 10:53 AM.. |

Go with the 23.3mm 16x8" up front. The stock 16x7" ET23.3mm Fuchs in front on the 951 will already rub the fenders if you hit bumps in mid-corner. The ET10.6 is meant for the rear of a 911.

Also if you get the 16x8" Fuchs # 951.362.117.00, the spokes are offset to the outside more to give you greater clearance for big calipers if you may upgrade in the future. It's also lighter than the 911 version.
