ARGH!!! I can't get the friggin head off!!!!!!
Am I missing something here. I can't get the head off until I get the exhaust flange off and I can't get the friggin exhaust flange off until I get the head out! I exhaust flange is touching the side I the car so I cant pull it out! I loosened the nuts for the exhaust flange thinking I t would give me some leway, i still cant get it out! How do I do this?

The exhaust manifolds do come off with the head in place. Take all the nuts off the head, and take the six bolts out of the bottom of the manifolds. The two piece manifold will come off with some clever manuevering, you may need a pry bar for some gentle persuasion. Do you have aftermarket headers? In a worst case scenario you can unbolt the passenger side motor mount and jack up the engine a little, this should give you some extra clearence. This still shouldn't be neccessary though, the manifolds WILL come off with the head in place.
