vacuum line firewall fitting
Can anyone identify the vacuum line firewall fitting (plate) just behind the cam tower. It has two small vacuum line stubs sticking out and I think one goes to the heater control valve, but not sure. I can't find any reference in any parts manuals.

There isn't a part # listed for it, but it is on page 298 of the PET, under 944 85-88.

Dan,
one is for connecting to the engine vac . that feeds vac to the HVAC control head. the other is from the HVAC heat control out to the HCV. in default mode, the HCV is open. needs to get vac from this connection to close when heat not wanted. per the PET, the stub on the passenger side is for VAC, the one to the drivers side is out to control the HCV. give me a call to discuss any of this stuff. after having to put my car together from parts in boxes, I have become very familiar with this stuff.
