Thougth I seen it all lol

We all know there was a 944 mod with a 911 motor sitting in the front. But a the rear version one I,ve never seen (it's a 924 but still, could it be a VW motor? hard to say).First pics are from the front version 944.

the first one appears to be a twin-spark turbo engine.
the bottom one looks like a VW/eaarlyy Porsche 4 cylinder.

i'd rather see a Subaru engine in one of these cars than those old lawnmowers.

Looks like a four cylinder to me.
Neat job but does that mean the gas tank is in the front?

If so I bet the handling is all over the place.

Just goes to prove that just because you can do it doesn't mean you should!

That white one must be awful to ride in. The engine is inside the cabin generating a ton of noise and heat.

It looks like the white car actually has somewhat of a firewall with a piece of glass above the rear seat area to seal off the noise and heat.

Good eye. I didn't see that until I looked harder. I just kinda glanced at it the first time.

Helplessly stupid. A waste of a 924 Chassis and a good 912 engine

I'd like to see the underside of the 944. very curious about how they connect the drive axles to the hubs at what appears to be a lot of offset.
