944 S2 Indicator Problem

Hi there,

I just joined this morning, I am having a nightmare with my indicators. I switch it to the left and all works fine and then when I switch to the right I get nothing on the dash board or on the indicator lights outside on the car. Now I have swapped over the indicator stalk and the problem is identical.

I dont have a wiring diagram for the stalk but on a poser test I seem to have isolated the power supply to the left when I switch left and it flashes and I think that I have the wire for the power on the stalk when I switch it right but as I said nothing on the right side of car. Anyone with ideas would help me out as I have hit a wall on this one as the bulbs are fine. Does anyone even know what wires transfer power from stalk on activation of right or left just so I am on the right track.

Cheers for any help.

Looks like the left and right are on separate fuses from the schematic I have for a 944s. Check the fuses!

Looks like 31 and 32, 7.5A on the schematic. If they are good I would probe there with my meter to see if there is 12v there when the indicator is on. Should tell you which side of the fuse the problem is.

I really appreciate this help, thanks again. I have to say its a very helpful forum. I have been restoring my 1990 S2 Cabrio now for months from the bottom up and doing so all on my own in my garage and its nice to start communicating with like minded people who can help.
