Clutch hose : touching engine
the clutch hose ( late MY NA ) is quite close to the engine. Mine just touches it.
Anybody care to share ways to protect the hose? I am trying a piece of doubled-up heavy kitchen aluminum foil for now. It's hard to reach, even with the starter out. |

I wrap some of my hoses close to heat with alum HVAC duct tape. you see that a lot on newer cars. not sure how much it helps.
good luck.

Have to be careful with it touching. replaced hoses that burned through. Not a fun job.

1. Find/Buy a piece of hose where the ID is slightly smaller than the clutch hose.
2. Cut a piece 2-4" long. 3. Cut it lengthwise the full length. 4. Open it up and slip it over the clutch hose. 5. Protected for many more miles. You can quickly replace the outer hose whenever you want. 6. Enjoy a cold adult beverage. 7. Find more hoses to protect. |
