Went and looked at an '84 today, and the guy had a stripped timming belt laying in the hatch, the camshaft was off and a brand new timming belt was on the pulley. Laotian guy. "No, I no breaka timming belt. It's distributer, is what wrong. Had Mechanic come out and look at it, he say motor good, just nead cap and wires. No that no timming belt there"
<p>ok fella, what ever you say..."Next!" |
I had an 86 for several years that I liked.. Then I just bought a clean 1983 made in June of 1982. I am LOVING the manual steering and nimble feel of this car :)
This one had 61,000 original on it when I purchased it. The clutch was replaced at 50K with a Sachs unit, the timing belt was done at the same time. It also has a set of Fuchs on it. Has a couple seem splits on the front seats and the front spoiler took a little parking curb damage, but overall it's a great car. Price was $3400. http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/turbokev/p1.jpg Good luck in your search :D |
