To insert lights or not.

I just bought a replacement aftermarket rear center light where the license plate should go. The one that came with the car was broken.

Should I run the lights in it or just leave it as an unlit panel?

I think you got same as I got:

the build quiality is very low, glue doesn't hold and it was pain it the ass to install ...
main thing the paper (I don't even call it manual) that came with it that suppose to explain how to install was completely usuless.
So if you need help from someone who spent 6 hours installing it, learning on the mistakes, as I go just ask..

But in the end I think it looks nice
(it's not lighted thought, I think it's too ricy)

Kandid--Thanks for the offer but this will be a replacement for a broken one. I'd rather get the holes fixed and painted for the original look. I got this piece off of ebay for $40 so I decided to go the cheap way.

I don't think they would look bad if they were plain, but personally, I think the "Porsche", "944", or "Turbo" look kind of cheesy - kind of like screaming out "HEY LOOK AT ME!" Besides, the car already says "Porsche" on it in 2 places in the rear.

My 2¢, YMMV.

actually it says "Porsche" only in one place... (wing doesn't count, nobody sees it )

note that both lambic2000's and my cars don't have the sticker.

I had my 944 repainted I got a good deal on it, but the bodyshop said that I should put all the stickers and badges myself. So I bought '944' badge and 'Porsche sticker and the sticker looked really cheesy (maybe because I never managed to put this sticker perfectly straight )

I say go with lights: your car is more visible at night.
