Collapsing the collapsable spare
Bit of a funny issue...
I recently picked up a 924S and the spare tire had just been used so was inflated. I emptied the air from it, and it won't actually collapse even after leaving it for a few days. I'm assuming it's just due to age, and that the tire is probably no longer usable as it has lost elasticity. ![]() This is just about as small as it will get. Has anyone else experienced this? I've not seen one with two fill valves before: ![]() Any ideas why it has two valves |

Two valves to allow monitoring air pressure on one while inflating would be my guess. Try putting a ratchet strap around the tire's circumference and cranking it down.

I tried to pull a vacum on the one for my 944 but it will not fold right. If You find a fix let me know.

YOU have to put your weight on it and help it fold back down while fully deflating.
every few years i pull mine out and inflate it to make sure it still holds pressure. |

Thanks all
I tried sitting on it while deflating it. I'll try a ratchet strap, that's a good suggestion. |

Use your valve stem tool to remove the internal workings of both valve stems. Have a friend help you squeeze the tire back into shape....may need a ratchet strap as well.

If you can't get someone to help, wrap a rope around the center of the tire and with a piece of pipe or strong wood like an axe handle, twist the rope (making the diameter smaller) and that will pull the tire into position so you can put the valve stems back in.

Wrap a tie down strap and crank it tight
