				Issue Starting 1983 944 N/A When Cold

Hi everyone, first post and it's a question! I've recently bought an '83 944 as a summer project, it's in relatively decent shape, needs a little TLC which is fine, it'll give me something to work on, but she runs great and is a fun little car... when she starts.. I'm running into an issue right now where the car doesn't start when it's cold, unless I boost it with another car, then it fires right up instantly. It has a newer battery, but my first guess was possibly that the battery was bad since it does start easily when boosted, or after it has been running for a while it will start again easily within the first couple of hours, but the battery and charging system all tested fine. It does get cold (I'm in Winnipeg so overnight we're still getting down to 0's or below right now), and that's when the car seems to have issues starting. The other night I came home from work and the temperature had gone up quite a bit outside, so I figured I'd try the car, it started no problem. So right now I'm thinking it's getting fuel and spark, because it fires up with barely one crank when you jump it with another car, or when it's warmer outside. My guesses at this point are either the temp sensor is bad and it's not sending enough fuel for a cold start, or the fuel pump relay, or fuel pump possibly? Anyone else have experience with an issue like this or have any suggestions? What's throwing me off is that it starts on the first crank when you jump start the battery, which to me seems like its getting fuel and spark then right? | ||
