Koni Strut Inserts - But wait! It's not what you think!!!

So, I've done the busy part of the mod. Here's where I'm hanging up, and I've used my Google-Fu to the best of my abilities. I now turn to the experts.

Torquing down the Strut Nut. I spent about an hour delicately machining a socket to have a window to put a wrench through in order to keep the strut rod from spinning. The top of the Koni strut seems to want a 11mm wrench. The little box wrench seems to slip easily, yet it's fitted correctly.

Is this the best way to set the proper torque, or is there a better way? Do I need to get a strap wrench?

Thanks!

The best wrench is a 22/24mm deep offset that fits the strut nut. It will give you enough clearance to tighten the nut while holding the strut rod at the top with a smaller wrench.

Google shopping will be your friend to find a cheap one... https://www.google.com/search?q=22+24mm+deep+offset+wrench&biw=1024&bih=487&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwifsZvl67nMAhWms4MKHT5VCx0QsxgIHA
