Wanted: Dead late Model Climate Control
I recently got an '87 NA to go with my '84, and I'm in the process of fixing all the little things before I put her on jackstands to replace the starter ring gear.
One of the things I'd like to fix is the climate control. The thing works, but the upper slider is broken, the clear mounting flange is broken, and the fan speed control knob is broken. If anyone has a dead late model climate control module collecting dust, I will gladly take it off your hands.

check yours first to see if it is "component" model - the later ones could be taken apart and individual switches and the like replaced - for much less than the $500 for a new unit.

I have the unit on the dining room table. How do I identify it as a "component" model?
Thanks!
