PW seats not working?

Hey guys, my pw. driver seat hasn't worked since I bought my car and it really didn't matter alot, because it was right where I wanted the seat to be, but I am wondering if this is a contact problem? It would be nice if it worked. Does anyone else experence this? Thanks much for any help!

I have a power seat, (i think it's sort of half power half manual). I have two manual levers in front, (fore and aft, and Tilt of seat back) and two sets of switches on the drivers side, (one tilts the entire seat up and forward or back and down, and the other ... well, that's the switch that doesn't work).. I dunno what it does, maybe every time I play with the buttons some lady in germany has an orgasm...... good luck man... I'm gonna go play with the broken switch for oh, maybe.. 20 minutes or so......

9 times out of 10, it is the switch that is bad - they break internally - you may have some luck taking it apart, cleaning, as putting it back together again - usually it is the BB's come loose.

One of my switches works without the ignition being on. With the other, the ignition must be on. It's been that way since I bought the car in '96.
