Hatch seal : the one under the foil

Anyone know how to replace the rubber seal that is sort of pinched between the big rubber foil and the frame on the hatch lid? not the "deck lid seal" that's on the body, but it's mating seal on the moving hatch lid.

Part no. 944 512 463 00

I think you are referring to the upper hatch seal (just replaced mine a few months ago). The rubber wing needs to be removed so both hatch pin assemblies need to be removed using a Star bit (6-8mm). There are several countersunk set screws that hold the wing in place although I did remove the buttresses (side rubber pieces) in order to fully clean all surfaces. This will also provide you the opportunity to clear the water passages as well as inspect the condition of the hatch pin seats.

... how does the seal get up under the spoiler (I called it a foil earlier)?

I think that the seal has alignment holes for the set screws. It wasn't a difficult job but you may have to stretch the following end while ently securing the screws. I remember fiddling the orientation a bit so it was pressed in-between the wing and hatch frame.
